Our Mission
United Women India is a national initiative to remove poverty and starvation by creating sustainable income for women heading vulnerable households, starting with widows and single mothers.
We work with communities, NGOs, businesses and donors to provide skills, tools like sewing machines, and market-linked work so that every woman can earn a stable monthly income from her own effort.

How It Works
A simple, transparent pathway that starts with identification and ends with stable monthly earnings for each woman.
Widows and single mothers register online or through local partners. Basic documents and home situation are verified.
Together we choose the best livelihood: stitching, home-based work, microenterprise or local job placement.
Provide sewing machine or other tools, plus short training and handholding to start work with confidence.
Connect women to buyers, companies and orders so that monthly income continues and grows over time.
Livelihood Programs
Our programs are designed to fit real life: women who must manage children, home responsibilities, and limited mobility.
We provide sewing machines, basic tailoring training and tie-up with local uniforms, garments, school bags and other stitching orders.
For women who cannot leave home, we bring work to them through partnerships with companies needing packing, handicraft and digital micro-tasks.
Short-term skill programs linked directly to jobs in retail, hospitality, care work, and local enterprises with women-friendly terms.
Impact & Transparency
We follow a simple but strict principle: every rupee and every tool must be traceable to a woman and a livelihood outcome.
Each beneficiary is mapped by location, livelihood type and income band. Periodic follow-ups ensure that jobs created are real and sustainable, not just one-time distributions.
As the platform grows, we will publish anonymised dashboards on impact by state, district, and program type for complete transparency to our partners and supporters.
